Indulge in the refreshing flavors of Bangin Blueberry Lemonade while enjoying its low calorie content. With just around 10 minutes of prep time and a quick 5-minute cooking time,
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4–6 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and fresh blueberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Create the Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Strain and Cool: Once the blueberries have burst and the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Use a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to strain the blueberry syrup into a pitcher, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
- Combine with Lemon Juice: Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher with the blueberry syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Adjust Sweetness and Chill: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if desired. Refrigerate the blueberry lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Serve and Garnish: When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled blueberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and a few fresh blueberries, if desired. Stir the lemonade gently before serving to distribute the flavors evenly.
- Enjoy: Sit back, relax, and enjoy your refreshing Bangin Blueberry Lemonade on a hot day or whenever you need a cool, fruity drink to lift your spirits.
