  • Author: Alex Morgan
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Description

Blueberry Cobbler Moonshine

Ingredients

  • Fresh or frozen blueberries: about 4 cups
  • Granulated sugar: 1 to 2 cups, depending on desired sweetness
  • Water: 1 cup
  • Everclear or grain alcohol: 750 ml (1 standard bottle)
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon sticks: 2-3 sticks
  • Mason jars with lids: 8 jars for storage

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a large pot.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  4. Once cooled, stir in the vodka and vanilla extract.
  5. Transfer the mixture to mason jars using a funnel.
  6. Seal the jars tightly with lids and store them in a cool, dark place for at least two weeks to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. After the aging period, strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove any solids.
  8. Transfer the strained moonshine back into clean mason jars for serving or gifting.
