  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 cups of Everclear (or other high-proof alcohol)
  • 1 packet of grape Kool-Aid mix

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the grape juice, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugars are completely dissolved.
  2. Remove the pot from the heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. This step is crucial to prevent the alcohol from evaporating when added later.
  3. Once cooled, stir in the Everclear and grape Kool-Aid mix until well combined. The Kool-Aid mix adds an extra punch of grape flavor and vibrant color to the moonshine.
  4. Carefully pour the mixture into clean, sterilized mason jars or bottles, leaving a little bit of room at the top of each jar or bottle to allow for expansion.
  5. Seal the jars or bottles tightly with lids and store them in a cool, dark place for at least two weeks. This resting period allows the flavors to meld together and intensify, resulting in a smoother and more flavorful moonshine.
  6. After two weeks, your Grape Jolly Rancher Moonshine is ready to enjoy! Serve it chilled over ice for a refreshing sip or get creative and use it to craft fun and flavorful cocktails.
