Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, plus another for the coleslaw
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, plus another for the coleslaw
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 bag coleslaw mix
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • Sweet chili sauce, for serving
  • Chopped cilantro, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Wonton Shells : Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray or brush the wonton wrappers with cooking spray or oil. Drape them over the sides of a 9×13-inch baking dish to create a taco shell shape. Bake for 7-8 minutes until they turn golden and crispy.
  2. Cook the Chicken : In a bowl, combine diced chicken with hoisin sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Sauté this mixture in a large skillet over high heat for 7-8 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  3. Mix the Coleslaw : In a separate bowl, mix the coleslaw mix, sliced green onions, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tbsp honey.
  4. Assemble the Tacos : After the wonton shells are crispy, gently separate them. Spoon the cooked chicken mixture into each shell, followed by a generous topping of the coleslaw mix. Drizzle sweet chili sauce over the top.
  5. Garnish and Serve : Finish by garnishing the tacos with chopped cilantro and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately to enjoy the crunch and flavor of these delightful tacos.
