Description

Manicotti. From Your Daily Hit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 manicotti tubes
  • 2 cups (450g) ricotta
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups (150g) shredded mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 2 1/2 cups (600ml) marinara
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil the tubes until just bendable. Drain and cool enough to handle.
  2. Mix ricotta, egg, half the mozzarella, parsley, salt, and pepper. Fill the tubes.
  3. Spread sauce in a dish, lay the tubes in, cover with the rest of the sauce and cheese, and bake 30 to 35 minutes.

Notes

A piping bag, or a spoon in one end, keeps the tubes from splitting.
