Lime

Fresh. Bottled lime tastes like candy in a drink this small.

Shake

Hard, 12 seconds. A stir leaves it flat.

Strain

Double strain if bits of ice bother you.

Glass

A coupe from the freezer.

FAQ

Simple syrup?

Equal parts sugar and hot water, cooled. A teaspoon of superfine sugar in the shaker works if you shake long enough.

Frozen?

That is a different drink with fruit and a blender. This one is served up.

Dark rum?

It makes a heavier daiquiri. White rum is the clean one.

Mint?

Mint makes it closer to a mojito. Leave it out.
