Maraschino

The cherry liqueur, not the syrup from a jar.

Violette

A teaspoon. It is the pale purple.

Shake

Until the tin is cold.

Glass

A coupe.

FAQ

No violette?

The drink still works. It will be pale, not purple.

Batch

Shake each one. It separates if it sits.

Sweetness

The maraschino is the sugar. Do not add syrup.

Gin

A dry gin. A sweet gin plus maraschino is too much.
